GCP BQ: How to give view permissions to datasets

BigQuery ➝ PowerBI

GCP

1. IAM * Create Service Account -> name it as needed * Give permissions: BigQuery Job User * Create keys * Save Key and user to 1password 2. Big Query (data to be shared) * Sharing -> Permissions -> BigQuery Data Viewer * Add Service Account to BigQuery Data Viewer * Give Service Account to customer (share with 1Password)

PowerBI

1. Create connection Google BigQuery on PowerBI cloud (manage gateways) (not mandatory) Use Service Account credentials 2. PowerBi Desktop (local) Choose Data source: Google BigQuery Login with Service Account get data and publish to workspace
